My name is Ashley Kitchen.

I have 2 decades' experience in carpentry and cabinetry - from early days as an apprentice, to project managing installations for some of South Africa's leading kitchen / cabinetry companies, and finally to running my own business. I have been fortunate to garner a loyal residential customer base who keep me busy with renovations, repairs and improvements around the home, as well as a great referral network of builders who call on me for kitchen / cabinet installations. In recent years, I have been honing my skills in design and Computerised Numberical Control (CNC) machining and enjoy making custom, once-off creations for clients around the world!

Carpentry

Cutting and preparation of materials, and assembly of shaped components.
Erection of framework including roof framing, laying sub-flooring, floorboards and decking while ensuring trueness of structures.
Fitting of fascia panels and exterior wall cladding, as well as door and window frames (restoration and new).
Assembly of prepared wood for installation.
Wood joints (tongue and groove, mitre, butt, biscuit etc).

Cabinetry

Selecting and working with timber, veneers, particle board and synthetic wood
Marking out, cutting and shaping wood.
